Where did you order it from (and for how much)? The lowest price for the DVD I've seen was on DeepDiscountDVD.com.
Amazon, I think it was $20. I don't mind the price, since I got free shipping.
The first time I checked Amazon (which was also the first time I found out it was coming out on DVD), the price was $18.89 (or something like that). They didn't even have the cover picture of the DVD then. Now the price increased..boo.. I should've ordered it then.

Any way to get the release date bumped up?? Deployed in Iraq right now... and am anxiously biding the time till its release. Not much to do out here on downtime but watch movies. SOMEBODY MAKE SOME CALLS!! (I wish I didn't hear about this movie until AFTER the release date. Then I wouldn't be biting my nails waiting for its release.)

Well, I hope this movie can release R3 DVD soon. Not that I need Chinese subtitle. Just want to save the international shipping cost.

Well, I live in Hong Kong and I've ordered the DVD from Amazon. I can do it through HMV Hong Kong but guess what, even with shipping cost, Amazon's price beats Hong Kong local price, amazing.
I need subtitles to their Chinese dialogue, cause I have difficulty understanding Shanghainese.
Re Golden Horse, yes, it is really good news, Michelle Krusiec deserves the nomination, and maybe the award (I haven't seen the other nominated films so can't say), but Joan CHEN should defintely be nominated for Best Supporting Actress!

the choice of music for this film was amazing, every song totally captured the atmosphere of the scene!

May be can look for the singer Leona Naess. Find her album in some old jazz store. As for the dvd, I happen to find it selling online on ebay. It is selling at a very cheap price esp from the Malaysia supplier. Go check it out.
I watched this film when it was screeening in Singapore on 31 Oct'05 subsequently bought the DVD via Amazon.This is a commendable feat for a first time director, Alice Wu.
The actresses were excellent!I love Michelle Krusiec!She played 'Wil' very,very well,a sweet and awkward character, very real life.It's really good to see more of Asian films, especially good ones like Saving Face;with the cast who are so good at their craft.
After watching it,I know it's ever too late to love. And I think I will do what 'Wil' eventually did.

也許該去問片商才是，但有人會知道saving face什麼時候會發行有中文字幕的版本。還有，也許能導演親自來到"兩岸三地"之類的說華語地方來加強介紹宣傳她的電影，雖然說很少聽說有宣傳dvd這樣的行為，但是來場影友見面會之類的活動，更能提高伍導在華語市場的能見度，我是這麼想的。
